Missed punches happen, brightwheel enables administrators to maintain accurate records for payroll and ratios by allows the addition of new timecards and the modification of existing ones. This call all be done from the Timecards tab in the Staff section of the brightwheel web app.

Add a New Timecard

Adding a new time for missed clock-ins can only be done on the web. Log in as an Administrator and follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Staff section from the My School tab

  2. Choose the Timecards tab

  3. Click the New Timecard button

  4. Complete the information prompted in the pop-up and click Create

  5. If needed, click the +Add another row to enter additional time in and out information for the day

Edit a Timecard

Editing a staff's timecard can be done from either the web or mobile platform.

Edit Timecards from the App

  1. Login to brightwheel as an administrator

  2. Navigate to the Administrator Home dashboard

  3. Tap School Profile

  4. Select Staff (top right)

  5. Then View Timecards

  6. Select the specific staff member's timecard that needs to be edited

  7. Adjust the existing in/out date and times, or Add an out time if the staff member forgot to check out

  8. Tap Save to confirm the changes

Edit Timecards from the Web

  1. Log in to the web platform as an Administrator

  2. Navigate to the Staff section from the My School tab

  3. Choose the Timecards tab

  4. Select the specific staff member's timecard that needs to be adjusted, and click Edit

  5. Adjust the existing in/out date and times, or Add an out time if the staff member forgot to check out

  6. If needed, click the +Add another row to enter additional missing time in and out information for the day, such as a lunch break

  7. Click the Update button to confirm the changes
