Administrators can conveniently delete student profiles if they wish to remove the child's information from their brightwheel account such as profile data, messages, attendance records, activities, student contacts, etc. Please note, profiles can only be deleted if the student has no historical or upcoming billing activity.
Steps to delete a student profile
🚩Deleting a student profile erases the child's data from your brightwheel account. If you need to access the student records in the future (E.g. for licensing, audits), we strongly recommend archiving the student by changing their Enrollment Status to Inactive instead of deleting their profile.
Archiving hides the profile from your Active student list but keeps the student's records accessible. For instructions on archiving, please visit Manage Students via Enrollment Status.
On the Web
Log in on the web
Click to open the My School menu on the sidebar and select Students
Select the name of the applicable student to open their profile
Scroll down to the bottom of the student profile
Click Delete student
Select the confirmation checkbox
Click Delete
On the App
Log in to your account on the app
Click School Profile
Click Students at the top of the page
Locate and click the students name
Scroll down and tap the red Delete button
Check the confirmation box and click Delete again
