Your brightwheel account can be accessed from the web or the mobile app.

If you have not yet set up an account, check if your program sent you an invitation to begin this process or take the steps here:

Note: If you are both a staff member and a student contact, your login and logout steps will be different. Learn more by visiting our resource for signing in with dual roles.

  1. Visit the sign-in page on the web, or open the brightwheel mobile app

  2. Input your username & password

  3. Click Sign in

  4. Enter the 6-digit two-factor (2FA) authentication code sent to your email or phone number, then hit Sign in again

💡 Tip: If you forgot your password or are unable to log in, please reset your password or check out our troubleshooting guide.

Log out

On the App

On the Web

  2. Tap Edit Profile

  3. Hit Logout

  1. From your account on the web, click your profile tile (bottom left)

Account switching

As mentioned above Guardians, or student contacts who also use brightwheel as staff can easily switch between multiple accounts on the mobile app without needing to completely log in and out of separate accounts. This saves time and helps users seamlessly toggle between different roles within brightwheel.

Review our Using brightwheel as a Student Contact and a Staff Member if this situation applies to you.

Note: Guardians, or student contacts can be connected to student profiles from multiple programs at once and do not need separate accounts for each program. If you are only a student contact and have duplicate accounts, please visit our Delete or Deactivate an Account Help Center resource for steps on how to deactivate one account.
