Brightwheel's Subsidy attendance Report streamlines tracking and reviewing student attendance for subsidy reporting. This report shows check-in/out times, signatures, and highlights missing signatures.
Providers can also request digital signatures from student contacts for a week's worth of attendance and contacts can provide their signatures to help maintain compliance for state agencies.
The Subsidy attendance Report won't send attendance records to KinderConnect or KinderTrack directly. Please see the linked resources for steps on using the integration to send attendance in select states.
Create a Subsidy attendance Report
Log in to your brightwheel account on the web
Go to the Reporting > Reports page from the side menu
Under the Attendance tab, select Subsidy attendance
Choose the week and apply filters as needed (e.g., students, rooms, status).
Click Apply to view results
For a condensed view, toggle ON 'Only show first and last check-in/out times'
Select Export to download or email the file.
Check the box Include digital signature to add your admin signature to the report
Check the box Include attendance audit logs to show changes to attendance records on the report
Click Download or Email to Person.
ℹ️ Attendance records and the ability to request signatures can only be viewed for the past three months. We recommend reviewing and requesting signatures at the end of each week.
Request Signatures for Weekly Attendance
Providers can request student contacts review their child's weekly attendance and provide their signature verifying the records are correct. Providers can then export, or view these signatures in the Subsidy attendance Report.
Log in to your brightwheel account on the web
Go to Reporting > Reports from the side menu
Under the Attendance tab, select Subsidy attendance
Apply filters (e.g., week, students, rooms, status)
Click Apply to view results.
Select Request under 'Weekly signature'
Choose the guardian and click Send Request
Guardian Experience
After sending the request, the student contact will receive a SMS text or email asking them to review and provide a signature to confirm the attendance records are correct for the specified week.
Signature requests can only be completed from the brightwheel mobile app. Contacts should open the request from their mobile device and ensure their brightwheel app is fully updated.
