Brightwheel's menu planning feature helps you create reusable menu templates that can be assigned to rooms and reused across your program. You can can add meal components from your food item library, and even export menus for compliance reporting.
The first step is to create, or upload your existing menu template so you can easily check for CACFP-required food items and staff can log meals faster using your preset menus.
Two options to get started
Upload an existing menu template | ⚡ Fastest option - Upload a photo or file of your current paper menu and brightwheel will digitize it for you. |

Create a menu template from scratch | If you don't already have an existing menu, you can create a menu template from scratch using brightwheel's menu builder. |

Upload an existing menu
To upload a photo or file of your existing menu to be digitized, go to your My School > Menu > Menu templates tab. Next, click + Create menu template to upload a copy of your current menu.
Once the file is uploaded successfully, you'll receive an email notification. You can click the notification to review the menu for accuracy and make edits before sharing it.
