Once you create a menu template. You can then assign it rooms across multiple weeks. Once assigned, it will be visible to Parent contacts and staff in their assigned rooms.
When assigning a menu template to a room, it creates a unique copy that can be edited without affecting the original template. This is helpful if you wish to further customize the menu only for that specific room or week.
Assign a menu to a room
Log in on the web
Click My School > Menu in the sidebar
In the Menu templates tab, hit Actions > Assign to room next to the desired menu
Select the room and start/end date for the menu
Once a menu is assigned, it can be viewed on the menu schedule under the Room menus tab and will be visible to Parents and staff.
Important notes:
Assigning a menu template will replace any existing menus for that room and date range. To avoid overwriting, first check the Room menus tab to see what’s scheduled.
You can edit assigned food quantities/portions by age group before assigning to a room without affecting the original template. You can keep the template’s portions or apply a selected age group across all items by selecting Template portions.
