Assign menus to rooms

🟢 This article covers the new Menu experience. If your account looks different, you’re using the old version (see guides here). The new version is rolling out slowly and not on all accounts yet.

Once you create a menu, it is stored as a template. You can then assign it rooms across multiple weeks.


Assign a menu to a room

When assigning a menu template to a room, it creates a unique copy that can be edited without affecting the original template. This is helpful if you wish to further customize the menu only for that specific room or week.

  1. Log in on the web

  2. Click My School > Menu in the sidebar

  3. Select the Menus tab

  4. Hit Actions > Assign to room next to the desired menu to select the room and start/end date

Once a menu is assigned, it can be viewed on the menu schedule under the Room menus tab.

Note: Assigning a menu template will replace any existing menus for that room and date range.

To avoid overwriting, first check the Room menus tab to see what’s scheduled, then from that same page, you can assign the template to a room by tapping Select an action > Assign menus.
