[For Admins] Learn how to duplicate, edit, reorder, and delete packets

Once providers have created and shared an Admission packet, they can always be edited.

ℹ️ Any updates to forms in a packet, the packet name, or welcome message - affects all shared packets, including those that have already been submitted. We recommend duplicating a packet if changes are necessary.


Duplicate a packet

  1. Log in to brightwheel on the web

  2. From the left purple menu, click Admissions

  3. Go to the Admission packet tab

  4. Click Actions next to the packet, then choose Duplicate

  5. Make edits to the new backet

  6. Click Create when finished


Edit packet information

Follow the steps below to change a packet name, welcome message and due dates.

🚩 Note: Making changes will update all packets, including those already submitted or in progress.

  1. Log in to brightwheel on the web

  2. From the left purple menu, click Admissions

  3. Go to the Admissions packet tab

  4. Click Actions next to the packet and choose Edit packet

  5. Under Settings, click the pencil icon to edit the Packet name, Welcome message, or Due date

  6. Click Save when finished


Reorder, add & remove forms

Follow the steps below to add new forms to a packet and reorder how forms appear to families.

🚩 Note: Changes to forms will update all shared packets and may reopen previously submitted packets.

  1. Log in to brightwheel on the web

  2. From the left purple menu, click Admissions

  3. Go to the Admission packet tab

  4. Click Actions next to the packet and choose Edit packet

  5. Select the Paperwork tab

    1. To reorder forms, click and drag the form(s)

    2. To add forms, click + Add paperwork

    3. To remove forms, click the X next to the form


Close & reopen a packet

Providers can disable a packet to prevent additional submissions and reopen it anytime to begin accepting submissions again.

Providers can also disable link sharing if you've shared a packet via a URL with families. This blocks access to the form via the URL while still allowing families with direct invites to complete the packet. This is useful if you've shared the link on your website or via brightwheel messaging and no longer wish for families to make submissions.

  1. Log in to brightwheel on the web

  2. From the left purple menu, click Admissions

  3. Go to the Admission packet tab

  4. Click Actions next to the packet, then choose Edit packet

  5. Locate the ‘Status & sharing’ tile:

    1. To close the entire packet, select Disable packet. To reopen the packet, click Activate packet in the banner at the top of the page.

    2. To disable or enable link sharing, toggle the Enable link sharing switch on or off
