FAQs

What information does brightwheel AI use?

Bightwheel AI uses the same operational data you already see in brightwheel, like billing, attendance, staffing, rosters and family records. It follows your permissions, so it can only see what you can see.

Can it take actions for me?

No. brightwheel AI answers questions and explains data. It can't send messages, update records, or mark invoices paid. You stay in control.

Who has access to brightwheel AI?

Brightwheel AI is accessible to Administrators with a brightwheel Premium subscription. It is only accessible on the web right now.

Is my data safe?

Yes. brightwheel AI only accesses information you already have permission to see, scoped to your account. Multi-site admins get answers per-site, with no cross-school data sharing.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Your school's data and your families' data are not used to train the underlying AI models.

Do I have to use it?

No. brightwheel AI is completely optional. You don't have to use it if you don't want to.

Can I turn it off or hide brightwheel AI?

Brightwheel AI can't be hidden right now, but it only runs when you ask it something. It never acts on its own, and if you don't use it, nothing changes in your account.

Is AI replacing human Support?

Not at all. Think of brightwheel AI as your operational assistant, answering questions about your program's own data, but you can always contact our Support Team directly and reach a human. We'd love to help.

What if I have a question it can't answer and I need to contact support?

It may not be able to answer every question but it will point to the closest alternative where one exists. If it isn't providing the answer you need, you can contact the brightwheel Support Team. In the chat bubble at the bottom of your account, simply ask to speak to the team to reach us!
