There is no need to have a separate calendar because brightwheel has one built in. Teachers can add all the important events to a calendar. Parents will see this calendar on their mobile app. The calendar is organized by rooms.

Add an Event

Follow these steps to add an event to your classroom's calendar:

  1. Log into the app and navigate to the room you want to add an event for

  2. On iOS, tap the three lines and choose Calendar. On Android, choose the Calendar Tab

  3. Tap the + icon

  4. Enter event details and tap Create

Calendar View as a Teacher

As a teacher you can view your classroom's calendar from the app by tapping on the Calendar tab from the main page if you are using an Andoird, or tap the three lines and choose Calendar if you are on iOS.  Please note, each calendar is specific to the room.

Calendar View as a Parent

Parents can view calendar events by first tapping on their student's profile. On Android devices, parents can tap the calendar icon in the top right corner to see added events. On iOS devices, parents can find the calendar icon above the student's activity feed, and tap to see added events.
