Family and Parent contact types can conveniently view their student’s photos and videos from the child’s brightwheel Feed and Gallery.
Contacts can also download and save photos and videos in bulk as needed.
View photos and videos
Guardians can view photos and videos from their child's activity Feed, or in the Gallery view on the mobile app. Gallery view consolidates all media in one place, making it easier to browse than the feed. Here's how to access it:
Log in to brightwheel on the app
Click the child's name to open their profile
Select Gallery
Select the Photos, or Videos tab
🚩 Only photos logged by the program will be visible in Gallery View. Photos uploaded by guardians can be managed from the student feed. Visit Upload Photos as a Parent to learn more.
Save individual photos and videos
On the App
The Gallery view is the best place to download photos and videos on the mobile app as it consolidates all media in one place, rather than browsing a child's feed.
Here's how to download from Gallery view:
Log in to brightwheel on the mobile app
Click the child's name to open their profile
Select Gallery
Select the Photos, or Videos tab
Select the desired photo, or video
Tap the cloud icon in the bottom right
Tap Okay to exit the pop-up
On the Web
We recommend downloading Individual photos and videos from the student's Activity Feed on the web since Gallery view is only visible on the mobile experience.
Here's how:
Click to open the My Children page
Click the child's name to open their profile
Jump to the Feed tab
Locate the photo to be saved and right-click to save to your desired location
Bulk save photos and videos
Family and Parent contacts can bulk save photos and videos from the Gallery View on the mobile app only. This option is not available on the web.
To download media from the web, you'll need to do so individually from the child's activity feed.

Log in to brightwheel on the mobile app
Click the child's name to open their profile
Select Gallery
Select the Photos, or Videos tab
Tap the desired photo, or video
Click the share icon in the bottom left corner
Select what social media platform you wish to share on and post it as you normally would
💡The ability to post directly to social media is only available on Apple devices at this time. Android users can download the image to share on social media.

In order to view photos/videos for a child, you must be connected to that specific program and student profile. Only the program controls access to a child's profile. To be reconnected, please request that the program add you back as a contact to the child's profile.
