Below are a handful of exciting improvements to brightwheel billing ๐Ÿ™Œ. Learn more about these billing updates below.

1. Annual & quarterly bill plans

You can now set up bill plans to recur on an annual or quarterly basis. This means you can "set it and forget it" for less frequent charges such as annual registration fees and also offer more payment flexibility for your families.

Some programs give discounts to families who pay upfront for the year or quarter. This is another great way to ensure you are paid on time, every time. Learn more about bill plans and set up an annual/quarterly bill plan today.

2. Billing Only staff role

A brand new staff role can now be used to give your accountant, bookkeeper or other financial staff access to billing but nothing else in brightwheel. They can also pull billing reports, saving you time and giving you greater control of how finances are managed at your program. You can assign this role on the brightwheel staff page, and more information about the role is available here.

3. Billing notification updates

There is a new option to opt out of all email notifications about billing if you wish. This will only impact your individual account, which means administrators at each school can customize their brightwheel experience and either stay informed or turn off all billing-related updates for a cleaner email inbox. You can opt out of billing notifications on your Billing Settings page.

There's more! You'll now receive a new upcoming invoices digest that'll be sent to your email weekly on Saturdays. This will show you what invoices are scheduled to post in the coming week. If you stay opted in to billing notification emails, you can use this new digest to check if any changes need to be made to invoices scheduled for the week. Changes can be made up until 11:59pm the night before the invoice posts.

4. Edit and void credits

You're now able to edit or void credits, just like you could with offline payments. This allows you to make adjustments or correct mistakes so your books are always in order. Learn more about managing credits.

All of these improvements were made in direct response to feedback from valued customers like yourself. Expect to see more exciting updates like these in the months to come in billing and across the entire brightwheel platform. ๐Ÿš€

If you have suggestions for how brightwheel can continue to evolve, we'd love to hear from you.
