In brightwheel, invoices are bills that go out requesting payment from payers for specific charges/services that were provided.
When a payer pays an invoice, they pay the charge(s) within it. It then serves as a source of record that those specific charges have been paid.

What is the difference between invoices and statements?
What is the difference between invoices and statements?
Invoices and statements serve different purposes.
Invoices are requests for payment for specific charges or services provided, and they serve as a record once paid. They are issued according to the billing plan or when a one-off charge occurs.
Alternatively, statements provide a snapshot of a student account's status, summarizing all transactions (including invoices, payments, and credits) for the previous month. Statements are generated monthly and show the previous balance, transactions, and the current account balance.
