How to navigate student billing profiles

Brightwheel makes it easy for providers to navigate a student’s billing profile and quickly access the information you need.

This guide will show you exactly what's included in each student's billing profile and help you find the details you're looking for to more efficiently manage billing tasks.


When you access a student's profile, the Current Activity page provides a snapshot of their account balance and any open transactions. It’s the best place to quickly assess the child’s billing status and outstanding amounts:

Below the balance, you’ll find two tabs where you can view Open invoices and or any Available credits & payments for the student:

The Upcoming Invoices section shows invoices generated from billing plans, allowing you to edit them before they post:

The All Transactions tab displays all transactions including invoices, payments, and credits. You can take actions on these transactions from here:

The Statements tab includes all monthly statements, showing detailed transaction activity for the billing period.

Finally, the Account Details tab lets you manage billing plans, including creating, editing, pausing, or deleting them. You can also add new payers and update the primary payer for the student.
