If you have multiple program locations within your brightwheel account and organization, you can easily transfer students between each program. This is helpful if a student starts attending a new site or is attending multiple within your organization.
Transfer students to a new location
Multi-site Admins can transfer students from their Organization dashboard. During a transfer, you can set the student's enrollment status at both the new and old location(s), making it easy to archive students at their original school if needed.
For custom student profile fields or attachments to transfer, the same profile fields and attachment types you assigned the file at the original school must exist at the destination school. To accomplish this, visit tips for transferring custom fields and attachments.
Log in on the web
Click Workspace tile > Organization at the bottom of the purple sidebar menu
Select Students
Select the checkbox(es) next to the transferring student(s) > Transfer Students

Tips for transferring custom fields and attachments
If you wish for any custom profile fields or profile attachments to transfer for students, you must first make sure:
The same custom field is created at the new school before transferring
The same attachment type or category for the file exists at the new location. Creating the same category at the new location ensures file has somewhere to go when transferring.

For profile attachments to transfer over, the Attachment Type (e.g., "Student Physical") assigned to the existing attachment must be created at the destination school first.
You can create a new type by navigating to the destination location, pretend to add a profile attachment to a student profile, type the name of the attachment type you need (capitalization doesn't matter), then press + Click here to create.

Similarly, any specific custom profile fields you want to transfer must already exist at the new school with the same name (capitalization doesn't matter). You can create new custom fields easily on any student profile. Find steps here: Add your own custom fields to student profiles.

If you need to add students to another one of your locations, another option, besides transferring them from the organization dashboard, is to export your full student roster, or roster by room from one brightwheel location and bulk upload it into another. Follow these steps:
Log in to the brightwheel account that contains the students you want to transfer
Navigate to Students > Export roster and download the file
Switch to the brightwheel location where you want to add these students
Go to My School > Students
Select Add Students > Bulk Upload, then upload the exported roster file
