Autopay in brightwheel (also called automatic or direct withdrawal) saves you time and helps you never miss a payment by automatically charging the full balance on each statement's due date.
It can be customized for each student and you can connect multiple payment methods to autopay.
How automatic payments work
Autopay always triggers a payment for the the total balance due and any existing balance on the next statement due date.
If your provider requires mandatory autopay, you will automatically be signed up for autopay when you add a payment method. Or if a payment method is already saved, brightwheel will prompt you to sign up for autopay.
If the provider does not require autopay, payers can still manually sign up autopay.

If the provider does not require autopay, payers can manage their autopay settings anytime.

How do I remove a payment method if I signed up for autopay?
To remove a payment method, you must first turn off autopay for it. If you're unable to do so, it's likely your program requires mandatory autopay. In that case, you'll need to contact your program and ask them to disable this setting for your account before you can remove the payment method.
