As we near the end of October, many programs are getting ready to hold family conferences. Below, you’ll see how brightwheel can help with

  • Deepening relationships with families

  • Sharing student progress

  • Holding your best family conferences yet

New: During family conferences, share student portfolios with guardians for a robust look at student development and milestones!

For stellar family conferences, add photos, videos, and observations from throughout the year to a student portfolio. Customize portfolio categories so you can share evidence of progress towards particular goals, areas for growth, or areas where students excel.

Administrators can also create portfolio templates to help teachers save time and keep portfolios across your program consistent. Learn more here.

Many of you have been asking for brightwheel flyers for new families—here they are! You can share these one-page PDFs during family conferences to introduce brightwheel to new families starting at your program.

With the new fillable PDF e-documents feature, families can complete all of your required documents and PDFs directly within brightwheel! Stay up-to-date with compliance forms and have completed PDFs stored directly in your student profiles. And no more double entry—with fillable PDF e-documents, you can link data entered in the PDFs to student profiles! Learn more here.

📥 Sort messages by unread! You'll now be able to quickly find the most pressing conversations when messaging on the web app (with mobile functionality coming soon!)

💡 Teachers and Admins can now add learning activities to a room list. Learning activities are now easier to find in the library, as you can filter by the room.

Two new time tracking filters. You can now view all timecards at once and filter down to only view open timecards with the click of a button.
