Manage your Gusto account connection in brightwheel

[For Admins & Managers] Learn what to do if your Gusto account disconnects and how to reconnect it.

brightwheel’s payroll integration with Gusto allows you to send staff hours directly to Gusto for payroll processing. If your account becomes disconnected, such as if you intentionally log out or your Gusto password was reset, you can quickly reauthenticate from the Payroll tab.


Reauthenticate your Gusto account

You may need to reconnect if you see a prompt that your Gusto account is disconnected or your data is no longer syncing.

  1. Log in to brightwheel on the web

  2. Go to Staff & Payroll > Payroll

  3. Click Connect your accounts

  4. Log in with your existing Gusto credentials and authorize the connection

Once complete, the page will reload and your payroll data will be available again.


FAQs

Will my data be lost once I reconnect my account?

No, reconnecting does not change or remove any of your existing data. It simply re-establishes the secure connection between your account and Gusto.

Do I need a new Gusto account or new credentials when reauthenticating my account?

No, you’ll use the same Gusto login you’ve always used.
