As a parent, guardian, or student contact, there are two main options to get your account connected to your child’s profile in brightwheel:
Request your provider add you or provide your child's 10-digit code
Ask another Parent contact listed on your child's profile to add you (only possible if your provider does not restrict editing access)
Note: If another Parent contact cannot add you, only your provider can grant you access to the child's profile to protect the security and privacy of children’s digital information.
Steps to get connected
Option 1: Request assistance from your provider
Contact your child’s provider directly and request they add your email address (or phone number, if applicable) to your child’s account.
Once added, you will most likely receive a email or text invitation with steps to sign up. Make sure to use the same email address, or phone number, the provider used to invite you when signing up to avoid delays in getting connected.
If they’ve already added you, ask them to confirm the email and phone number they used. Then, log in again with the exact information they provided.
Use a 10-digit invite code (Parent contacts only)
If you are a Parent contact and the program has already sent you an invitation, you can set up your brightwheel account and can ask for your child’s specific 10-digit invitation code, which the program administrator can provide. This code will allow you to connect your brightwheel account to your child’s profile independently.
Simply click Add a Child to input the 10-digit code in your account:
Option 2: Have another parent add you
Ask another parent listed on the child’s profile, such as a legal guardian, spouse, or co-parent, to add you as a contact. They can easily do this as long as the provider has given them permission to make edits.
If that parent is unable to add you, please contact your provider directly to request that they add you to the child’s profile.
