Once a family makes a payment in brightwheel, the time it takes for the funds to process and deposit into your bank account may vary depending on whether they are located in the U.S. or Canada.

We've worked hard to shorten this deposit time for our schools so you can get the funds quickly from your families. However, brightwheel does not control when deposits are triggered from brightwheel to your program's bank account.

How deposits work

Once a payment is made, it begins processing immediately. Once it is successfully finished processing, it will be deposited into your bank account.

Brightwheel fronts these payments/funds to you so that you receive them as soon as possible but please note that payments may still be processing between our payment processor and the parent's bank for several days.

Note: Payments aren't processed on weekends or holidays.

🇺🇸 U.S. deposit timing

For providers in the U.S., all payments made by payers can be deposited into your deposit account as early as the next business day.

Payments made by early afternoon can be deposited into your program’s account as soon as the next business day. For parents using autopay, payments made today may be available as early as tomorrow.

🇨🇦 Canada deposit timing

For providers in Canada, payments made by payers can be deposited into the designated account as early as 1 business day later if made by card, and 2 business days if made via direct bank transfer. Payouts will always be deposited in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
