Keeping the brightwheel app updated to the latest version is an important step to make sure that each device is using the most secure version of brightwheel and has access to all of the latest features and updates.

Update iOS Devices
On iOS (Apple) devices, like iPhones and iPads, the brightwheel app can be updated manually, or set up for automatic updates to be downloaded each time a new version is released. For more information, see Apple Support's guide on How to Update Apps on your Apple Device.
🚩brightwheel is compatible with all Apple devices using iOS 15 or higher. If you are already using brightwheel and on an older device running iOS 14 or below, you will still be able to access brightwheel but will not be able to update the app. If you are a new brightwheel user downloading the app for the first time, it’s required that your device is running iOS 15 or higher.
Update iOS App
Open the App Store on the device
Tap your profile icon at the top
Tap Update next to brightwheel to update the brightwheel app, or Update All to download all available updates
Enable Automatic App Updates
Open Settings
Tap on the App Store
Locate the Automatic Downloads section
Use the toggle to turn on App Updates
Update Android Devices
brightwheel is compatible with all Android devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop or higher. Android apps can be updated manually, or set up for automatic updates to be downloaded each time a new version is released. For more information, see Android's guide to Update your Android Apps.
Update Android App
Open the Google Play Store app
At the top right, tap the profile icon
Tap Manage apps & device
Note: Apps with an update available will be labeled Update availableTap Update for brightwheel
Update Android Apps Automatically
Open the Google Play Store app
At the top right, tap the profile icon
Tap Settings > Network Preferences > Auto-update apps
Select whether apps should update using either WiFi or data, or WiFi only
