Voice-to-text is a standard feature available on most mobile devices. Utilizing this feature in your classroom can help teachers and staff log activities, notes, and message parents quickly and minimize the time they spend on the device.

Using Dictation in brightwheel

Adding notes when posting actives can help improve communication and engagement with parents. Using dictation can help teacher add this vital information quickly and limit the time spent in the app. This is also a great option when using brightwheel's messaging feature! The process to initiate Talk-to-Text may vary slightly depending on your device, but in most cases follow the same steps.

  1. Open any action that you would like to additional text to such as a message or a note on an activity

  2. Tap an area where you can enter text

  3. At the top of your keyboard, touch and hold Microphone icon

  4. When you see Speak now, say what you want written
