For providers using brightwheel CRM, enrollment holds reserve an offered spot while a family decides or finishes paperwork, so it isn't offered to anyone else.
The held spot is removed from your Enrollment forecast's open count until the hold ends. If the family accepts, enroll their child. If not, you can offer the spot to the next family on your waitlist.
đ Not seeing holds and brightwheel CRM in your account? New schools see it automatically, while existing schools need to opt in. Learn how to opt in.
What happens during holds
During
While a hold is active, your forecast shows one fewer open spot for that room and date. This keeps your availability accurate, so you can answer other families without double-booking the same spot.
When it ends
If the hold ends and the child chooses not to enroll, the child is removed from the Forecast view and the spot they once held is freed up. Nothing else changes about the student or their place in the enrollment pipeline automatically.
If they donât enroll, we recommend moving them to the Lost column in the CRM > Leads view to indicate they are no longer interested.
Place an enrollment hold
Holds are placed from an open spot on your Forecast page, and they pull from the CRM waitlist for the program linked to that room.

In the sidebar menu, click Enrollment > Forecast
Select an open tile in the month view, then the plus sign next to the open spots

When the family responds
They say yes: Enroll their child in the held spot
They say no: Remove the hold (or wait until it ends) and offer the spot to the next family on your waitlist
